ReNewy Living
#celebratinglocalsustainability | Celebrating local sustainability
ReNewy Living helps you celebrate local sustainability. We do this by connecting you with people, places and projects from regional communities who are doing good for people and planet. ReNewy Living is a verified social Enterprise, which means we prioritise purpose, people and planet over profit.
What are you offering at the festival?
I’ll be running engaging sessions that make sustainable living practical and fun. I’ll show you how decluttering can transform both your home and the planet, with tips for simplifying your space, reducing waste, and supporting mindful consumption. You’ll also learn how to swap chemical cleaners for simple, effective DIY alternatives using just eight natural pantry ingredients, creating affordable and eco-friendly cleaning solutions.
Plus, you can drop by my stall for textile weaving with upcycled T-shirts — come and go as you like, weave at your own pace, and create something unique while giving materials a second life.
Using recycled photo frames as weaving boards and yarn made from unsellable T-shirts, you’ll learn a simple “under and over” technique to create small mats, or add to a shared community piece. This relaxed, come-and-go activity invites both children and adults to slow down, focus, and see waste as a resource. You’ll be guided through each step – from setting up your frame to weaving with T-shirt yarn – at your own pace. The atmosphere is calm and collaborative, encouraging you to enjoy the rhythm of weaving.
does it cost any money?
Weave your way through the festival with me, no cost, just fun!
How do you align with the festival goals?
All the materials for my textile weaving workshop are upcycled and sourced locally — I live in the adjoining Council area. My talks focus on promoting healthy lives, providing inclusive education, and empowering women and the wider community. I also aim to encourage responsible consumption in ways that are practical, engaging, and fun.
