Renew is a not-for-profit organisation providing expert, independent advice to help people live sustainably in their homes and communities. Renew was previously known as the Alternative Technology Association, established in 1980 when living sustainably and using resources wisely was considered ‘alternative.’

Renew advocates for policies that promote renewable energy and cut emissions, make our homes healthier, more affordable and climate resilient. Through our many events, webinars and publications, our experienced members and local branches work closely with project partners to ensure our information and advice maintains relevance, and keeps pace with the rapidly evolving market for efficient, sustainable technology.

What are you offering at the festival?

Renew members are thrilled to be coming to the Festival where our stall theme will be My Sustainable Home. It includes a model (doll) house with eco and energy efficient features for children to play with, while their parents can chat to Renew members about improving their home's energy efficiency, electrifying their house, reducing emissions, sustainable home design and how to get involved in Sustainable House Day.

Do you have holes in your house and a high energy bill? We will demonstrate how a thermal imaging camera works and how it's used to show where your home is excessively hot or cold. By helping you identify what is consuming your energy, you will save money on energy bills and help the environment at the same time.

Are you are considering buying an electric vehicle, already own one or simply want to know what all the fuss is about? Come along and have a chat with us, get inside an EV and learn what it's like to own one. Renew also publishes two magazines - Sanctuary: Modern Green Homes and Renew: Technology for a Sustainable Future. There will be a Festival special offer of 5 magazines for just $20.

More than ever, homeowners and renters are seeking reliable and trusted information on renewable energy solutions for the home, and Renew has the long term reputation, independence and authority which people trust.

During this session he will share practical ways to reduce energy bills at home.
