Made With Precious Time
#madewithprecioustime
Made With Precious Time, by Jacquelyn Boer, offers sustainable fibre art that blends functionality with environmental consciousness. Jacquelyn’s creations include crochet storage solutions and expressive room pieces made from 100% recycled T-shirt yarn, natural fibres, fallen branches, and compostable materials. Her practice champions the circular economy, educating customers on the value of handmade, recycled goods. Each piece is crafted with care, intention and an exploration of colour. This reflects Jacquelyn’s commitment to ethical production and creative expression. Made With Precious Time is a celebration of mindful making and the beauty of sustainable design.
What are you offering at the festival?
Discover Made With Precious Time at the Sustainable Future Festival. Jacquelyn Boer creates sustainable crochet from recycled yarn and pre-loved natural fibres that can be composted. Each handmade basket and fibre art piece reflects care, creativity, and a commitment to mindful, eco-conscious living.
What payment form do you accept?
Both cash and eftpos.
How do you align with the festival goals?
All of our Recycled T-Shirt yarn is saved from it's journey to landfill. Offcuts from the Textile Industry are created into T-shirt yarn skeins. We have a range of pre-loved, hand-cut material baskets that can also be composted at end of life. Our goal is to have our entire range sourced from pre-loved compostable material.
The bead embellishments, on our products, are uncoated natural wood and can be repurposed/composted after use. The wooden handles, on our products, are uncoated natural fallen timber and can be repurposed/composted. All merchandising tags and string, on our products, are made from 100% cotton and recycled paper. These may be recycled or composted when disposed of.
To be a company providing products that are sustainable and that replace a plastic problem in storage whilst also being a piece of sustainable fibre art. An encouraging gift and a conversational starter re: our impact of this earth.
