Phoenix Bird Rescue and Care Inc
Phoenix Bird Rescue and Care Inc is a volunteer‑run wildlife organisation based in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native birds.
We operate entirely on donations, grants, and community goodwill. Every contribution — whether financial support, building materials, feed, or equipment.
Phoenix Bird Rescue and Care Inc is powered by passion, compassion, and a commitment to protecting the incredible birdlife that makes our region unique.
What are you Offering at the Festival?
We will provide education on how at Phoenix, our mission is simple: to protect and advocate for native birds while strengthening community awareness of the challenges they face. Habitat loss, vehicle strikes, domestic pets, severe weather, and environmental pressures all contribute to the rising number of birds needing help.
Our volunteers work tirelessly to provide safe rehabilitation environments, respond to emergency rescues, and educate the community on how to support local wildlife.
Does it cost any money?
How do you align with the festival's goals?
Phoenix Bird Rescue and Care Inc aligns with the sustainability goals of the Sustainable Future Festival by promoting the protection of native wildlife and increasing community awareness of the environmental challenges facing our local birdlife.
Through community education, we will highlight how habitat loss, vehicle strikes, domestic pets, severe weather and other environmental pressures impact native birds, and provide practical information on how the community can help protect and support local wildlife.
As a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of native birds, Phoenix works to protect local biodiversity and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable environment for wildlife and the community.
