Made With Precious Time
#MWPT
Made With Precious Time, by Jacquelyn Boer, offers sustainable fibre art that blends functionality with environmental consciousness. Jacquelyn's creations include crochet storage solutions and expressive room pieces made from 100% recycled T-shirt yarn, hand cut reclaimed natural fibre material, fallen branches, and compostable materials. Her practice champions the circular economy, educating customers on the value of handmade, recycled goods. Each piece is crafted with care, intention and an exploration of colour. This reflects Jacquelyn's commitment to ethical production and creative expression. Made With Precious Time is a celebration of mindful making and the beauty of sustainable design.
What are you Offering at the Festival?
Handmade items that support the circular economy, including functional crochet fibre art baskets, reusable wash/dish cloths and tea towels - all made with purpose. Materials used are recycled or sourced personally from reclaimed natural fibres, which we cut and crochet by hand. We love to save materials before they get to landfill and give new life and functionality to items that were once disregarded. Every piece unique, with multiple colour combinations for any style and a whole lot of love infused.
Does it cost any money?
Yes - accepts cash and EFTPOS.
How do you align with the festival's goals?
All of our Recycled T-Shirt yarn is saved from its journey to landfill. Offcuts from the Textile Industry are created into T-shirt yarn skeins. We have a range of reclaimed, hand-cut material baskets that are made from natural fibres. Our goal is to have our entire range sourced from pre-loved and natural fibre materials. The less impact the better.
The bead embellishments, on our products, are uncoated natural wood and can be repurposed/composted after use. The wooden handles on our products are uncoated natural fallen timber and can be repurposed/composted. All merchandising tags and string, on our products, are made from 100% cotton and recycled paper. These may be recycled or composted when disposed of.
