Dr Amelie Vanderstock (Amelie Ecology) holds a PhD in native bee ecology and specialises in science communication around pollinators and urban biodiversity. Her work translates ecological research into practical, evidence-based education — from workshops and talks with councils, schools and early learning centres, to creative science communication projects developed in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Wheen Bee Foundation. Amelie was awarded the Ecological Society of Australia and NSW OEH Award for Outstanding Outreach in 2019, recognising her contribution to public understanding of native bee ecology and conservation.
