Love Water Use It Wisely
Central Coast Council Water and Sewer is a major water utility delivering essential services that keep the community healthy, safe and thriving. Council supplies around 85 million litres of drinking water each day and treats approximately 87 million litres of wastewater, supporting homes and businesses across the region.
The service manages water from start to finish, from rainfall captured in dams, to treated water delivered to the tap, and wastewater collected and treated before being safely returned to the environment.
This is supported by extensive infrastructure including dams, treatment plants, pipes, pumping stations and meters.
The Water and Sewer Education team further supports the community through programs, events and digital content, helping people understand their role and adopt waterwise and sewer smart behaviours.

Visit our interactive pop up stall to discover where your water comes from, how it gets to your tap, and what happens after it goes down the drain. Try hands on activities, test your knowledge with fun challenges, and explore simple ways to save water at home. Learn what should and should not go down the sink or toilet, and how small actions can protect our environment. Come along, ask questions, and see how we all play a part in looking after one of our most valuable resources.
