After 25 years in the construction industry, I’ve seen an enormous amount of usable materials go to waste and end up in landfill. While recycling plays an important role, I believe the real opportunity lies in reuse, repurpose, and the circular economy — keeping good materials in use for longer and reducing unnecessary waste.

That’s what inspired Surplus Pro — a platform built to connect tradies, builders, and renovators so they can buy, sell, and share surplus building materials locally. It’s a community-driven way to reduce waste, save money, and build a more sustainable future for the industry.
