Formidable Vegetable
Fresh from Glastonbury and a 48-show international tour to 10 countries, we are Formidable Vegetable — notorious permaculture electro-funk swingers and composters of the Anthropocene — back to sow a fresh harvest of hope in a wild and overgrown world. With wheelbarrow-loads of tasty organic rad(ish) beets, brass, and bass, we’ve been cultivating dancefloors worldwide with seeds of climate resilience, community sufficiency, and active hope for a sound future.
What are you offering at the festival?
We bring a wheelbarrow-full of swingfunk beets, brass, strings, and the ukulele of abundance to enrich minds and plant seeds of inspiration. With over 20 countries toured and seven records released, we combine music, creativity, and hands-on permaculture action to show how communities can compost problems and grow abundant solutions. Charlie Mgee also leads an inspiring session introducing the principles of permaculture and practical ways to apply them to your school, garden, or daily life — making sustainability fun, engaging, and accessible for everyone.
does it cost any money?
Our workshop and performance are both proudly presented by the festival for all to enjoy!
