How do you align with the festival goals?

Fairhaven Op Shopping Village embodies the exact circular economy principles that the Sustainable Future Festival champions. Our op shopping operations showcase textile circularity in action by giving quality clothing and accessories new life instead of letting them end up in landfill.

Our mission aligns seamlessly with the festival's goal of "creating an event that not only inspires change but also demonstrates it in action." For over 60 years, Fairhaven has been demonstrating how sustainable practices can create powerful social impact, with every secondhand item we sell diverting textiles from waste streams while funding employment and support services for over 100 people with disability.

We share the festival's vision of "sparking a movement" and "building lasting change, one conscious choice at a time." Our presence at the festival isn't just about selling secondhand goods but about showing how sustainable shopping can support disability empowerment, proving that the choices we make as consumers can create ripple effects of positive change that extend far beyond the environment into our communities' social fabric.

When festival goers browse our stall, they're participating in the same circular thinking the festival promotes, choosing reuse over consumption while demonstrating that environmental consciousness and social responsibility go hand in hand.
